Warehouse Construction Site

PROJECT 3

Ascent Logistic Park - Leighton Buzzard

This large-scale logistics project delivered 37 fully equipped loading bays, installed as part of a fast-paced warehouse development from the earliest construction stages through to completion. The works began while the site was still being prepared for structural lifting operations, with close coordination required around ongoing construction activity, cladding installation, and phased equipment deliveries arriving on site.

As the building envelope developed and cladding elements were fitted, the loading bay systems were installed in carefully planned stages to ensure smooth integration with the structure and future operational requirements.

Dock Levellers
Installation of the dock levellers formed the core of each loading position, providing a safe and efficient bridge between warehouse floors and vehicles.

Each unit was positioned and integrated to support reliable loading operations and high traffic volumes.

Dock Lights
Dock lighting systems were fitted to improve visibility within trailers and loading areas, supporting safer handling operations and efficient movement of goods during all working hours.

Traffic Lights
Traffic light systems were installed externally to assist vehicle control and improve safety during loading and unloading procedures, helping coordinate vehicle movements across the busy logistics hub.

Dock Shelters
Dock shelters were installed to create a protected seal between vehicles and the building, helping shield loading activities from weather conditions while improving energy efficiency inside the facility.

Wheel Guides
Wheel guides were positioned at each bay to support accurate vehicle alignment, improving docking precision and helping protect loading equipment during daily operations.

Fire Exit Doors
Fire exit doors were installed throughout the facility to provide safe and clearly designated escape routes in the event of an emergency.

Designed as an essential part of the building’s fire safety strategy, these doors help protect evacuation routes by resisting the spread of fire and smoke for a specified period, allowing occupants more time to exit safely and supporting emergency response procedures.
